Flute

This is the Native American Flute. Unlike traditional Indian flutes which are tuned to the major scale (diatonic), these flutes are tuned to the minor pentatonic scale. This makes it an apt solo instrument for Blues style of playing.

This is my most recent acquisition. I came accross it in Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival in Summer of 2008. We were strolling around when this small shop filled with exquisite looking flutes by High Spirits caught my eye and I could not resist the temptation to try one out. The sound was so magical that I had to indulge in getting myself one. That ofcourse started a fresh new wave of collection of these beautiful instruments.
