The Story
Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to be able to record what I played. I used to spend hours playing my harmonica infront of a small cassette recorder to put my music on tape, using the built in microphone of the player. Then later I used the multi track recording system of the Yamaha PSR 510 keyboard to record multiple layers of music arrangements of popular Hindi songs right into the internal memory. Then I would transfer them onto regular tape.
Even in my days of PhD I did not have any proper recording software or hardware. I used the headset microphone for input, and would do basic audio editing using free software such as GoldWave. It was only after I started working again that I slowly built up some basic setup of a home studio. Hopefully this is the beginning of the realization of a childhood dream.
